  1. Boil the Tur daal in a cooker.
  2. Take oil in a separate vessel, add smashed garlic and green chilli, and cook for 30 seconds. Add chopped Methi and salt.
  3. Cook till Methi is done (Approx 7-8 min)
  4. Take some oil in a kadhai, add rai, once it splutters add heeng and haldi. Pour the cooked daal on this tempering along with the cooked Methi.
  5. Add Goda masala, Gur, and salt to taste.
  6. Adjust the water, as required, and let the daal simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Serve with rice and a dollop of ghee :).
