- Take -250 gm Kathal / jack fruit
- Make ready 3 big Onion
- Make ready 3-4 Tomato
- Take as required Mustard oil to fry
- Get 1 tea spoon Jeera / cumin
- Take 1/2 Tea spoon hing / asafoetida
- Prepare 2 tea spoon dhania powder / coriander
- Get 1/2 tspoon haldi / turmeric
- Take 2 tea spoon lal mirchi powder / red chilli
- Get to taste Salt

Instructions to make Kathal fry:
- Cut the kathal into piece and wash properly, cut onions (long), cut tomatos.
- Heat oil (enough to fry) in kadahi. Fry the piece for 5 mins, take the piece out and keep them aside.
- In the same utensil used to fry. Heat the remaining oil(add more if required).add jeera, hing, onion (golden) add haldi now add tomato.
- After tomato is cooked add the fried kathal. Now add salt, dhania powder.(not red chilli)
- Cover it and let it cook on sim.
- Keep stiring frequently, now take 2 table spoon of water in a glass add 1/2 tspoon red chilli powder stir and pour in the kadai.stir properly. Cover it.
- Repeat step 6 3-4 times, until the kathal is brown,
- It will be delicious and soft
