Steps to make Kathal fry:
  1. Cut the kathal into piece and wash properly, cut onions (long), cut tomatos.
  2. Heat oil (enough to fry) in kadahi. Fry the piece for 5 mins, take the piece out and keep them aside.
  3. In the same utensil used to fry. Heat the remaining oil(add more if required).add jeera, hing, onion (golden) add haldi now add tomato.
  4. After tomato is cooked add the fried kathal. Now add salt, dhania powder.(not red chilli)
  5. Cover it and let it cook on sim.
  6. Keep stiring frequently, now take 2 table spoon of water in a glass add 1/2 tspoon red chilli powder stir and pour in the kadai.stir properly. Cover it.
  7. Repeat step 6 3-4 times, until the kathal is brown,
  8. It will be delicious and soft
