  1. Prepare 1 cup wheat flour
  2. Make ready 2 tbsp ghee

Litti Chokha is a delicacy from the state of Bihar made with stuffed whole wheat dough balls with roasted chana dal and spices inside. These stuffed balls are known as Litties are usually roasted over.

Steps to make Litti Chokha:
  1. Take a bowl add flour, add salt, ghee, carom seeds, baking powder and make a soft dough with the help of water. And leave it for 20 minutes.
  2. Now for chokha,take brinjal and tomatoes and grease it with oil and roast it over flame till the skin turns black. After cool down remove the skin and add potatoes too in this and mash well.
  3. Add salt, green chillies,grated ginger, coriander leaves, lemon juice and 1 tbsp mustard oil and mix well.Our chokha is ready.
  4. For stuffing take sattu in a bowl add salt,green chilies, grated ginger, pickle masala, chopped coriander leaves,1 tbsp mustard oil and lemon juice and mix well.If seems dry, add little water and mix again.
  5. Now grease your hands and make a small ball from the dough and make a peda and make it hollow with thumb and put sattu stuffing and lift sides and close the litti. Prepare all likewise.
  6. Now for roast,take a appam pan and put litti in it and cook for 5 minutes till golden from both sides by using ghee on it.And another way is using net wire stand over the flame and roast litti on it directly.
  7. Once the littis are ready dip them in the ghee and serve it with bowl full of chokha.Enjoy.
