Satay (/ˈsɑːteɪ/ SAH-tay, in USA also /ˈsæteɪ/ SA-tay), or sate in Indonesian and Malay spelling, is a Southeast Asian dish of seasoned, skewered and grilled meat, served with a sauce.

Chicken Sate is one of the most popular of recent trending meals in the world. It’s simple, it is fast, it tastes delicious. It is enjoyed by millions daily. Chicken Sate is something that I have loved my entire life. They are fine and they look wonderful.

To get started with this recipe, we must first prepare a few ingredients. You can cook chicken sate using 10 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Chicken Sate:
  1. Take Chicken Sate - Javanese style
  2. Take 400 gram Chicken thigh boneless
  3. Take 2 tablespoons Coriander seed
  4. Prepare 1/2 tablespoon White pepper seed
  5. Get 1/2 teaspoon Palm sugar ( you can skip this if you preferred
  6. Get 1/2 teaspoons Sea Salt
  7. Get 4 tablespoons Indonesian Kecap manis / sweet sauce
  8. Take 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  9. Take 1 stalk Leek. Optional
  10. Get Skewers stick. Skip this if you don’t have any

The chicken is then place on skewers and barbecued until perfectly tender and juicy. Put the chicken in the sandwich bag, one breast at a time, getting your child to flatten each one with a rolling pin or a meat mallet - this isn't essential, but they like doing it. Toss chicken and vegetables with enough dressing to coat, then sprinkle with peanuts and cilantro. Cubes of chicken are marinated in a fragrant combination of spices, including lemongrass, ginger, and turmeric, then grilled so the marinade forms a crust in this Malaysian chicken saté recipe.

Instructions to make Chicken Sate:
  1. Cut Chicken thigh into Large dices or as preferred.
  2. Grind all together of Coriander, pepper, salt, sugar. I love the aroma on this mix!!. Then add 1 full tablespoon of kecap manis/sweet sauce. Mix well Into a paste. Then Mix the paste with the Chicken. Let it marinate overnight
  3. The next day, prepare the chicken with skewer. If you are using bamboo skewer, soaking with water first. This is to prevent it from burning. I inserted Leek in between of the Chicken (this totally optional)
  4. Make the Glazing from Sesame oil and kecap manis. Glaze the chicken before / during cooking.
  5. Cooking until it’s cook
  6. This chicken Sate is so yummy that you don’t need any additional sauce to go with it. But If you prefer you can serve it with peanut sauce or sambal kecap/ sweet sauce spicy sauce. I served my Sate with sambal kecap / sweet spicy sauce, Rujak serut / mango cucumber spicy salad, Lontong / rice cake, cucumber, lettuce.

Tender slices of skewered chicken are marinated in a curried coconut milk blend. NOTE: An updated version of this recipe appears in my cookbook, The Cut the chicken lengthwise into pieces that are one inch wide, set them aside. Chop your chicken into chunks and add to the pot. When all your chicken has been sliced 'n' diced into bitesize bits, toss it around in the sauce. Cover with clingfilm, and pop into the fridge until you're ready.
