  2. Make ready 75 Grams chana dal
  3. Take 25 grams (red lentils) masoor daal

  5. Now take A deep thick vessel put the soaked daals and 3-4 glasses of water and start cooking daal on high flame. Traditionally pressure cooker is not used. Let it cook for 20- 25 minutes until all lentils are cooked well.
  6. Meanwhile, keep checking the balls / baati. It wl take 25-30 minutes for the balls to be cooked properly. Now take a pan for tadka. Put oil add asafoetida, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and smashed garlic cloves. Cook for few seconds on low flame and then put it in the cooked daal and mix well. Now put the daal again on low flame and let it simmer for few minutes so that the spices blend well.
  7. Serve hot with ghee sliced, onions, radish, lemon, green chilli pickle and spicy garlic chutney (optional).
