Aloo Poha or Kanda Batata Poha is a delicious, simple and mildly spicy breakfast made from Poha (flattened rice flakes) along with Onion (Kanda) and Potato (Batata). Aloo Poha recipe is a maharashtrian snack recipe apart from kanda poha and is a hugely popular snack dish made using flattened rice and potato and so is called as potato poha recipe. Instructions to make Aloo poha:
- Wash and soak the poha. Heat oil in a kadai, crackle mustard seed, then add green chillies, curry leaves and groundnuts. Cook for a while or till the nuts get little crispy.
- Now add the potatoes, turmeric powder and salt. Add 2-3 tsp of water. Cover and cook till the potatoes are soft and tender.
- Now add the poha. Add salt if reqd, add sugar. Mix well. Cover and cook for another 5 mins on slow flame. Remove in a serving plate, sprinkle the lime juice, garnish it with a sprig of coriander leaf. Can enjoy it with some aloo bhujiyas❤.
