  5. Place one roti on a flat surface. Apply one part of the thick paste made using corn flour & homemade ghee & spread all over. Then place the second roti, apply the paste and spread. Then repeat the process with 3rd roti. Place the 4th roti and before applying the paste, roll it gently using rolling pin so that the rotis stick to each other. Then apply paste to the 4th roti.
  6. Then start rolling these roti layers tightly from one side to form a cylinder or log. Seal the edges. Cut the log into ½ inch size pieces. Roll each piece vertically. The cover is ready.
  7. Take one rolled piece or cover. Place flattened filling portion on it, then place the other piece or cover. Seal the edges using wheat flour & water paste. Pinch & twist the edges to form a design. Prepare the remaining khajas in similar manner.
  8. Dust the baking tray with some wheat flour. Place the khajas in the baking tray. Let them bake in the pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 30 minutes till the lava starts oozing out & the cover turns crisp.
  9. Once baked remove from the oven. Garnish with silver foil & mix dry fruit flakes, orange jelly cubes & serve.
