Once the onions are sauted well add the ivy gourd / kovakkai pieces, mix and saute them well, then add turmeric powder, hing, coriander powder, red chili powder and salt, mix well, also add sufficient amount of water, let the ivy gourd pieces cook well, place a lid to.
