Instructions to make Poha Pakoda:
- Firstly, wash the poha nicely with sufficient water. Drain away the water and allow the poha to rest for about 15-20 minutes so that the water is drained out completely.
- Transfer the poha to a large mixing bowl.
- Boil the potato. Cut into cubes and set aside.
- Wash and finely chop the onion, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves and set aside.
- Roast the peanuts and crush it or grind it coarsely and set aside.
- To the poha, add the finely chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Next add the cubed potatoes. Add ginger paste.
- Add the finely chopped coriander leaves. Then add kashmiri red chilli powder, ajwain, aamchur and salt.
- Next add the crushed/ground peanuts and gram flour.
- Mix well. Mash the potato. Grease your hand with oil and prepare small lemon sized balls and set aside.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the hot becomes hot, gently drop the pakodas in it and fry until the pakodas turn golden in color. While deep frying, stir continuously.
- When done, remove on kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil.
