Instructions to make Poha Pakoda:
  1. Firstly, wash the poha nicely with sufficient water. Drain away the water and allow the poha to rest for about 15-20 minutes so that the water is drained out completely.
  2. Transfer the poha to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Boil the potato. Cut into cubes and set aside.
  4. Wash and finely chop the onion, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves and set aside.
  5. Roast the peanuts and crush it or grind it coarsely and set aside.
  6. To the poha, add the finely chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Next add the cubed potatoes. Add ginger paste.
  7. Add the finely chopped coriander leaves. Then add kashmiri red chilli powder, ajwain, aamchur and salt.
  8. Next add the crushed/ground peanuts and gram flour.
  9. Mix well. Mash the potato. Grease your hand with oil and prepare small lemon sized balls and set aside.
  10. Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the hot becomes hot, gently drop the pakodas in it and fry until the pakodas turn golden in color. While deep frying, stir continuously.
  11. When done, remove on kitchen towel to absorb the extra oil.
  12. Crispy and tasty Poha Pakoda is ready. Enjoy it with tomato ketchup and a hot cup of tea or coffee.
