  1. Soak the rice and poha for about 4-5 hours.
  2. I used rapid rise yeast..take about 1/4 tsp and mix with some sugar in 1/2 cup warm water.
  3. Grind the rice to fine paste with very little water.
  4. Add poha and coconut milk, grind along with rice.
  5. Mix the yeast water and sugar and salt to the batter and grind to fine paste
  6. Pour the batter into a airtight container.
  7. Close the container and Keep in a warm place overnight.
  8. Morning mix the batter well and add sugar if needed.
  9. Heat the appam kadai.Check if its hot by sprinkling some water on the kadai.
  10. Now pour few tbsp of batter and rotate the kadai till you get the lacy design.
  11. Cover and cook on medium flame.
  12. Serve hot with curry.
