  1. Wash and clean the banana stem and cut into small strips like french fries. Then add a little salt and crush with your hands in a bowl.
  2. Heat oil in a kadhai… add whole red chillies and mustard… let it splutter… then add salt and turmeric powder… mix and cover for 10 mins… let it cook till it's soft and tender.
  3. Meanwhile make a smooth paste with yellow mustard and posta dana…. add this paste to the bhaja and mix well add sugar and cover for another 5 mins..
  4. Then add mustard oil to it… put off flame… cover the lid and let the bhaja absorb the smell of the oil..serve hot with steamed rice..

Serve this flavourfull pulao along with Bengali Style Cholar Dal, Chaal Kopi and Phulka for your everyday meals.
