Home-made granola (toasted muesli) is one of the most popular of current trending meals in the world. It’s appreciated by millions every day. It is simple, it’s fast, it tastes yummy. They are fine and they look fantastic. Home-made granola (toasted muesli) is something that I have loved my entire life.

I make Homemade Granola - or Muesli as some Aussies know it - using a formula. I could talk you through it, but it's much easier just to show you. ↓↓↓. This is actually a recipe that I posted yonks and yonks ago, but it's been tweaked and improved, and plus it.

To begin with this particular recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have home-made granola (toasted muesli) using 7 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you cook that.

The ingredients needed to make Home-made granola (toasted muesli):
  1. Take 170 gr. rolled oats
  2. Get 170 gr. brown rice flakes (or spelt flakes, rye etc.)
  3. Prepare 200 gr. nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, cashew etc.)
  4. Make ready 100 gr. pumpkin and sesame seeds (or sunflower, linseed, flax…)
  5. Make ready 100 gr. dried fruit cranberries ( or apricots, dates, raisins, goji etc.)
  6. Make ready 120 ml. runny honey
  7. Take 40 ml sunflower oil

Instructions to make Home-made granola (toasted muesli):
  1. Chop the nuts
  2. Put all the dry ingredients into a large bowl
  3. Heat the oil and honey over a low heat, and when they are nicely blended, pour over the dry granola ingredients. Stir while heating and don't allow to get hot enough to bubble
  4. Mix very well with a spoon or with your hands
  5. Lightly grease your oven tray and fill with the granola. Smooth over with your hands so there are no gaps
  6. Put in the oven for 35 minutes at 150º. Each ten minutes, carefully take the tray out and stir around a bit.
  7. After half an hour it should be ready to take out of the oven and left for 10 minutes or so in the tray to cool
  8. Put the granola into a bowl, add the dried fruit of your choice and stir well
  9. Store in an airtight jar and enjoy :-)

This easy homemade coconut granola recipe can be served as a hot or cold cereal. Serve the raw mixture before toasting to enjoy it like a muesli. I know, I know, there are thousands of recipes for toasted muesli (or granola) on the internet. But I've been fiddling around to try and make a healthy, not too oily, but not too dry recipe.
