- Take 2 whole star anise
- Prepare 2 whole long peppers [peepli] (optional if you can't find it)
- Take 1 tbsp coriander seed
- Prepare 1 tbsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1 tsp fennel seeds
- Take 5 black peppers
- Make ready 5 whole cloves
- Get 1/2 tbsp cardamom seeds (break open cardamom to extract seeds)
- Prepare 1 tsp nigella seeds (kalijeera)

- Add chillies, fried onions, lemon juice and flour dissolved in water.
- Cook uncovered for another 15 minutes.Beef nihari is ready. Serve and garnish with coriander and ginger julienne.Β Enjoy it hot with roti and paratha.
