- Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
- Add little water at a time and knead well to form a dough a little stiff and tight.
- Divide the dough in equal parts into medium size balls.
- Roll the dough evenly into circles which are neither too thin nor thick.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan. When the oil is hot then add one poori at a time and fry gently pressing down with frying spoon in circular motion.
- Turn over when puffed up and fry the poori till golden brown.
- Serve poori hot with a vegetable and sooji halwa and other meals.
