Steps to make Pura poli:
  1. Sieve the flour add salt, oil, water to make a soft dough and keep it aside.
  2. In a pressure cooker add soaked dal, water and cook till 3 whistles.
  3. Once the pressure subsides, pass the dal through a sieve or simply mash it using a spoon to get a smooth paste in a kadai.

  5. Keep stirring in one direction. Till the dal becomes smooth and firm to hold a shape..
  6. Once done, add elaichi powder and let it cool a bit.
  7. Now, punch the roti dough, either roll out a chapati or flatten it using fingers.
  8. Add a lemon size puran or stuffing in the center.
  9. Join the edges, seal, roll into a chapati.
  10. Heat the tawwa, put the stuffed roti on tawa. Cook both sides with ghee.(like a paratha.)
