  2. Prepare 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. Make ready 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
  4. Prepare 2 teaspoons fresh milk
  5. Make ready 2 teaspoons cardamom powder
  6. Get 10-12 chopped cashew nuts

Yellow moong dal is extremely light and easy to digest. So Green gram dal fry has now become a common side dish at home. Its really healthy and rich without any fatty items like cream, milk or butter! You can make dal fry or dal tadka with split moong (de husked though) or even moong dal kichdi.

Steps to make Green gram dal ladoo(moong dal):
  1. Dry roast green gram and let it cool completely. You can roast it before hand also. Grind it properly. It will be slightly coarse.
  2. Take a pan and heat ghee. Add green gram powder and sauté it for about 2 minutes. Add cardamom powder, cashew nuts, sugar and mix it properly.
  3. Add cream and saute it for 2-3 times. Switch off the gas stove.
  4. You can add other nuts also if you like.
  5. Let the mixture cool slightly. Take about 2 tablespoon of mixture and make ladoos. Let it cool completely.
  6. Store it in an air tight container.
