- Take 1 inch ginger chopped

- Prepare 1 tsp Mustard seeds

Sambar Vadai and Rasa Vadai is even served as an appetizer. Crispy but fluffy deep fried Medhu Vada. Sambar vadai is urad dal vadai, soaked in mild and flavourful sambar. Just before serving warm up sambhar, immerse vadas and let soak for two minutes.
Instructions to make Sambhar Vada:
- For Sambhar, cook dal in pressure cooker by adding four cups of water, apinch of salt and turmeric powder. Cook it for three whistles and after cooling, churn with a churner to make smooth blend.
- Add one cup of tamarind water, heat pressure cooker, put oil add mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli, crackle then add onion stir it for a while add tomatoes and cut vegetables, stir it for two minutes then add Sambhar masala and add dal.
- Cook it for a whistle. Your Sambhar is ready.
- For Vada, soak oral dal in a bowl of water over night, grind it in a mixer to make thick paste, add ginger, asafoetida, green chillies and salt.
- Heat oil in kadai, drop Vada one by one four or five at a time, turn it around till it gets golden brown, drain out the oil completely and put them in a plate, dip them in Sambhar already made or you can serve them separately
