Instructions to make Methi Varan:
- Boil the Tur daal in a cooker.
- Take oil in a separate vessel, add smashed garlic and green chilli, and cook for 30 seconds. Add chopped Methi and salt.
- Cook till Methi is done (Approx 7-8 min)
- Take some oil in a kadhai, add rai, once it splutters add heeng and haldi. Pour the cooked daal on this tempering along with the cooked Methi.
- Add Goda masala, Gur, and salt to taste.
- Adjust the water, as required, and let the daal simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve with rice and a dollop of ghee :).
