- In a pressure cooker take sprouted moth. Add salt turmeric powder and water (little more than required). Then cook until 1-2 whistles.
- In a pan roast grated coconut till slightly golden.
- In a pan heat 3 teaspoon oil. Add chopped onion, garlic and ginger. Saute for sometimes. Add chopped tomatoes. Cook till tomatoes softens. Then add roasted coconut and mix it. Let it cool down. Then grind in mixer grinder and make paste.
- In a pan heat 1/4 cup oil. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When crackles add asafoetida and curry leaves. Add prepared paste and saute till oil seperates. Add red chili powder, dhania jeera powder and goda masala. Mix well.
- Add moth with water. If required add more water. Add jaggery and adjust salt.
- Mix well. Cover with lid and cook for 5-7 minutes. Misal is ready. At the time of serving take misal in a bowl. Spread farsan over it and apply chopped onion. Squeeze some lemon juice. Enjoy with pav or bun (roasted with butter).
