- Let the pressure released naturally. Open the lid and loosen the rice with fork. Keep it aside.
- Heat the ghee in pan on low flame. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, ginger chilli paste, turmeric powder and sauté.
- Then add tej patta, chopped vegetables sauté it. Add red chilli powder, goda masala and mix well. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Now add cooked rice and mix well. Add salt, lemon juice and mix gently.
- Cover it with the lid and cook for 5 minutes on low flame.
- Switch off the gas. Masale bhat is ready. Serve with bundi raita. You can add onion and garlic for flavour.
