Steps to make Paneer changezi:
- In a kadhai, roast bay leaf,cardamom,clove,peppercorn, black cardamom and dry red chillies
- Now add ghee in kadhai and 2 tsp of vegetable oil,heat well then add chopped onions and cook them on medium flame keep stirring and cook till it turns golden brown
- Then add 2 tbsp of curd and give it a good mix….
- Now add tomatoes puree….and with that add salt, coriander powder, garam masala, red chilli powder, a pinch of turmeric,kasuri methi instantly crushed,mace and nutmeg powder…just a 2 pinch of that
- Now let them cook till the oil separates from masala gravy
- Meanwhile,we will marinate paneer cubes….in a bowl place paneer cubes add curd, Chaat masala,turmeric,red chilli powder, 1 tsp oil and besan
- Give it a good mix using hand and let them aside for 15 minutes to marinate well
- Now in a non stick pan put paneer cubes and roast them from all sides a bit
- Lets check our gravy….when oil separates…. Add little water to have desired consistency of your gravy…after 2-3 minutes…add marinated paneer cubes and you can put sliced green chillies
- Now cover the kadhai and cook it for another 5-8 minutes
- Garnish it with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with garlic naan or lachha parantha
