- Soak black chanaor kadala in water for 8hours or overnight… Have chopped 2 onion, tomato and red chilli, garlic, green chilli and curry leaves shown as in PIC…
- Heat 2 spoon oil in pan. Add mustard seeds. Add red chilli, curry leaves and chopped onion and stir it till it get light brown… Add tomato and mix it well…
- Then add 2 spoon chilli powder, ginger garlic paste and 2 spoon garam masala and pepper… Stir the masalas very well and keep it in low flame makes curry spicy…
- Then add chanaor kadala in masala and mix it… Add 2 cups of water and required salt… Mix it well… Close the pan & keep it low flame… Let it boil till gravy reduces and become thick… Curry Ready💥Serve with Love…
Kadala curry without coconut goes well with puttu,appam etc. Kadala/black gram is packed with protien. Add sliced onions, curry leaves and coconut pieces and sauté. Then add cooked bengal gram along with sufficient water. But I make kadala curry often and I serve it with idli, chapati or even dosa.
