The ingredients needed to make Dall vada with tamarind chutney:
- Prepare For vada
- Get 1 bowl yellow Moong dall soak over night
- Get Salt as per taste
- Get as needed Oil for frying
- Prepare For chutney
- Take 150 gram imli (tamarind) soak for 2 hours
- Prepare 150 gram jaggery
- Get 1/3 spoon salt
- Get to taste Red chilli powder if u like
- Get Water as required ied
Tamarind chutney is a spiced, sweet and tangy sauce served with Indian chaat snacks or fried This tamarind chutney is often used in North Indian chaat snacks like dahi vada, samosa chaat, aloo tikki chaat etc. The vada can be garnished to taste. I love lots of sweet tamarind chutney over my dahi vada and that's why added lots of it. Soak urad dal and moong dal in enough water overnight.
Steps to make Dall vada with tamarind chutney:
- Firstly take a jar add dall after remove extra water grind it well make a smooth paste add salt and eno in it mix well
- Now take a pan add oil and heat it now fry vada in it (in round shape)
- Vada is ready
- Now take another pan add imlii add some more water and boil till remain water half add jaggery mix well add salt and red chilli powder as u like chutney is ready
- Now serve Vada with imlii chutney
In the morning rinse the dal, drain the water and set aside. Moong dal vada is a popular tasty treat. Moong Dal Vada should be crispy from outside and should be soft inside. We did serve them with coriander chutney but I have one grandson that is addicted to Tamarind Chutney. Dahi Vada (the South version) is traditionally prepared with urad dal (split black gram without skin).
